Gustav Wasa seminarium is annually arranged by Department of History and Ethnology in University of Jyväskylä. The seminar represents historical topics of varying fields. The themes of past, current and upcoming seminars are presented in this website.
Gustav Wasa ruled Sweden 1523-1560. Because of the many social and
political reforms carried out by the king the era is known as the
beginning of the early modern period. Our department has paid a lot of
attention to the early modern period. The focus of our studies is
represented in the project Early Modern Practice and Thought.
